what strange
saturday morning lesson
to
precede sunday school’s
love thy neighbor
oh
and don’t
get me started
about
three black crows

affirmation…

an often said lie
soon becomes the truth for fools
who’ll blindly follow 
the path of misconception
even through the gates of hell

have to clear
my head
of
these empty conversations
for
there will be
no
communion
no
breaking
of
bread together
nor
sipping
of
the sacred wine
of
enlightenment
