surveying

of emotion’s flesh
water pulsating
like waves
of passion
on a forgotten night
sending
wayward thoughts
into a dream state
where moments
of ecstasy
crest
but soon
tears
break the spell
those few salty drops
replace
warm memories
a single towel
the only caress
tonight
