nobody wanted to get depressed…

nobody wanted to get depressed...

stopped watching the news
stopped counting deaths from virus
and global warming
just getting back to normal
was man’s final delusion

rancid human blood…

cold winds
without words
voices
still unheard
old men
without souls
place death
upon your lips
and say
that
you
should drink
do not
think
drink
your chapped lips
rest upon
the rim
a thought
why
do they
not
drink
first
if death
is not
to
be
feared
what are
these shadows
reflected
below
the rim
perhaps
souls
forever lost
in
lies
but
now
the choice
drink
or
think

a somewhat less than a modest proposal…

quite a simple plan
sacrifice all old people
to balance budget
let them all get the virus
thus reducing tax burdens
since that would decrease
the earned retirement payouts
though they’ve sacrificed
the economy’s foremost
so your grandparents are toast
however government
can channel funds to the rich
making them richer
and social security
will be a thing of the past
as for young workers
they’ll continue servitude
just making ends meet
crushed grains of humanity
beneath the grindstone of greed
bright side there’s no need
to fatten up poor children
to feed the wealthy
since food will be plentiful
without those old folks around

run aground..

there shall be
no
resurrection
your way
of life
was
caught upon
the wings
of an albatross
headed
out beyond
tomorrow
long before
your eyes
were opened
to this day
look not
to the vast sea
for your fate
but rather
into the tide pools
amongst
the jagged rocks
where gulls
scavenge
for
survival
