a student from a distant village seeking to learn from bapa dola entered his hut asking how the birds of the jungle came by their name bapa dola tells him all creatures were named by man even the gods were named by man and many of the gods were created by man
oh i’m certain
there ain’t no global warming
cuz i read in the church bulletin
it said
quite clearly
that god would
take care of us
so how could there be
global warming
but
some things
are startin’
to
bother me
like all those fires
and floods
all over the world
and why i’m
seeing creatures
in my neighborhood
that usually live
way down south
but
i’m not worried
well maybe
a little
concerned
but lord knows
well
at least
i hope she does
