and you were expecting what…

and you expected what...

from its inception
the law
has been
unequal
for those
under
it
its function
has been
and
continues
to be
to
maintain
servitude
and
the clear
separation
of
the haves
from
the have nots
a systematic method
of
oppression
that gives
the illusion
of
freedom
and
the fasle expectation
of
impartial justice
bolstered
by
the bedtime stories
from
history
about
heroic acts
that
never occurred
or
occurred
in
a less than
courageous
manner

response to ransom note…

ransom note2

if one breaks the law
the law must be enforced
if not there’s no law
we cannot let mobs rule us
for then democracy dies

ice cream headaches…

waking up
at
night
long
before
dawn
digital clock
mocks
requests
for
sleep
cold sweat
and
megrims
of
uncertainty
throb
as
pulses
of
questions
expand
veins
questions
of
why
or
for
what
purpose
have
some
died
their
shallow graves
in
the earth
of
freedom
are
eroded
by
ignorance
and
hate
leaving
only
that
numbing pain
that
last
for
centuries

random acts of violence…

simulated waves
of
empathy
wash over
the bodies
in
the street
bodies
wearing
corporate logo t-shirts
corpses
photographed
like
selfies
on
iphones
and
posted on facebook
for
likes
by
social mercenaries
dreaming

of
corporate sponsorship
while

police
with
city seal embossed
face masks
employ
non lethal rubber coated
lead bullets
into
the eyes
of
reporters
and
into
the skulls
of
vietnam vets
those
old men
on
their way
to fill prescriptions
for
heart meds
a
med
not need
for
those without
a
heart

when in doubt sanctions and threats…

thinking the world’s black
trump continues to use force
against anyone
who doesn’t bend to his will
a coward hiding ‘neath flag
