perhaps
the embodiment
of
susie cream cheese
beneath
her breast
a bible thumping heart
enclosed
in a self-defined
temple
to be entered
only
after
matrimony
but
now
said body
was seated
in
a religious philosophy course
quite certain
that
all
she had been taught
about
her god
would be
neatly
verified
however
the professor
proceeded
to dismantle
all
religions
verifying
that only
faith
within one’s mind
and
only within that mind
could it be
personally
verified
needless to say
at the close
of
the course
she was
bewildered
and
at a loss
to make sense
of
the world around her
now
some thought her
naive
but
from faith
to
freedom
we’re all
just like her
accepting
the national infomercials
as more than
they are
we live lives
based on
misinformation
and
carefully contrived lies 
and
when
we
finally realize
the scam
that’s been
played on us
we all
end up
just
like
her
