flagrant lies and crimes
are summarily dismissed
by hate’s disciples
charlatans face no judgment
shielded by a nation’s myths
the key’s self interest
feed disciples their fears and
they willingly drink
whatever poisonous brew’s
placed in their chalice of self
Interesting that my Advent study group this Sunday highlighted the social sins of biblical society while my spiritual study this year is focusing on social sin of modern culture. We are either unaware of it or benefit from it so we don’t speak up against it until it’s too late.
