we’re
unable to breathe
what was life

seems like death
a child’s birth
into
this world

chaos
is not a glimmer

hope
but
a reason
for
regret

we condemned

child to

could we

so thoughtless
but
those same thoughts
were
our fathers’
and
mothers’
so

a guilt
with
