everything’s fast food what we eat read and how we contemplate the world around us it’s easy to do ipads and watches deliver takeout predigested news served up with side dishes of calorie laden commercials for our consumption carefully conceived and cooked up by monetizing algorithmic corporate chefs
and since our minds are not feed anything to chew on the political and marketing lies are easily digested by democracy’s couch potatoes who without any physical effort on their part not even the consumption of weight loss pills still manage to lose significant portions of their freedom
We thought we would go in January but now that Gov. Scott has opened all bars and restaurants without restrictions we are thinking it won’t be safe. We also have to stay overnight in Georgia and they don’t have the virus under control there either. I am putting safety ahead of reduced pain when making the decision.
We’ve limited our travels this year for many of the same reasons…having to travel through or stay in places where the virus isn’t under control. Not the SoCal has things under control, but here I can stay at home and avoid dangerous situations.
Yes, I understand. When we drove to Michigan in April we never felt really unsafe but we were always being alert and feeling on the edge. We were only out two nights and planned to have enough food in the car to eat. But not what I would call a fun trip.
I daily learn so much from our Uganda friends who eat to live. They are always watching the signs of the times never taking today for granted. Their children are willing assistants with eager minds.
Fat doesn’t equal happy it just makes the mind a mush of nothing. Is this really what we have become in the US? ughhhh
Thanks for the mental exercise..
