don’t wait for it…

no-need-for-words

i had
hoped
to have
a
personal
conversation
with you
but
you insisted
that
i respond
on
facebook
so that
all
your
friends
could serve
as
your
surrogate conscious
and to
no doubt
provide you
with the kind
of loyal support
worthy
of
at least
two
kindergarten gold stars stickers
alas
i am not
a certified member
of the
instant pudding mind group
so this query
into
your years
of
duplicitous living
shall end
as with
all
your ventures
seeking
more

  1. I do find FB comments useful for keeping in contact more regularly with what my relatives and friends who live far away are doing. A Christmas card and a few calls a year do not seem enough. I guess it keeps one more current

  2. Your poem reminds me of myself. An old friend of mine kept asking me to join WhatsApp so he could add my name in list and send lots of smses every day… had to ignore his plea. I prefer 121 friends.
