the brown bag prophet stopped me and asked where’s your keffiyeh taken aback i said well i don’t have one he said why not well why would i was my reply he said today’s national keffyeh day and everyone who gives a damn about freedom is supposed to wear one well or a sombrero or any outward symbol of resistance to the racist policies of the new social bullies in washington it’s a more polite way of raising your middle finger
My symbol of resistance to racism is my everyday clothes.
Ouch
A great poem. The sad thing is, the existing conditions which gave it birth.
Big smile.
