exodus from hell…

exodus from hell

the battlefield
is littered
with dreams
shards
of bones
embrace walls
of
a place
once called
home
wind up toys
without keys
dance
no more
to the laughter
of children
ragged dresses
like
prayer flags
wave blessings
of good will
and
compassion
in dry winds
from
razor wire
old family photos
adorn
land mines
while
dried tears
mingled with sand
search
for what
remains
of hope

  1. Such a world, a broken place, broken by the few, or many times by a mob of the many. One hopes, hope will continue to get closer, and carry a welcome in love and kindness, those moments one hopes for beyond any end.
