the clearing…

the clearing

the bins
were filled
with memories
some from
yard sales
others
from
road trips
small containers
of laughter
and
smiles
all that’s left
of
two lives
to be
hauled away
as if
they
never existed

  1. I fear that much will get thrown away after I am gone, just hope that there are some precious memories that will always be recalled.

  2. Ahh. Yes. It can be melancholy or cathartic to ‘clean house’ in difference senses of the term. Your poetry speaks volumes on the significance of the seemingly mundane. Off to consume more of your words. 🙂
