a mere scratch
on your way
of life
you’ve had
such inconveniences before
chicago
watts
those nasty
little scenes
over vietnam
oh
and
of course
civil rights
but
being the little trooper
you are
you’ve perservered
and now
this
occupy..something
thing
just another
surface wound
but
what if
it’s a
social
venom
Excellent poem.
Sink your fangs into that…
Nicely spoken my friend
Hope all is well

That’s a big “What-if?” I do believe that it is another step leading to changes.
love the concept of a “social venom”. Fingers crossed these protests will at least shame congress into doing something other than blocking the other party’s ideas.
very good question. what if its a social venom?
How great that you’re addressing this issue, Charlie. I suspected you would, and you have done it so well.
‘social venom’ – bring it on (they need a bit of ostracising) – good one Charles – topical as ever.
I like ‘social venom’ – great phrase.
Let’s hope it is a ‘social venom’.
the image of the snake on the bull is wonderful
Social venom inflicts surface wound. It may look superficial, still the hurt is deep.
I agree with the other commenters, the “social venom” and snake on the bull stand out for me… fitting images with the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Now that snake curled on top of the bull makes that one wicked image, charles. oh yeah. I love it. 🙂
… and what if it is … what if it is … We’re getting ready for a reset. Don’t think street protestest will go on, but something will. Question is what.
