i watch men knees bent hands clasped staring into my domain searching for wisdom hoping for new manna but never unfolding their hands to till the earth or plant the seeds and seeing no further than their own outstretched hands
A great poem, reminding us that the experience of life can only be achieved by taking part of it ourselves – we cannot experience life through the eyes and hands of others xx

Wise ol’ bird, that hawk!
Did I mention I am loving these hawk poems? A great truth in that one.
Thanks!
The last line on hawk’s precision and domain to see, I did not know. That’s very smart.
Man is indeed short-sighted–looking up, but forgetting to look down–powerful image, Charles!
“seeing
no further
than
their own
outstretched
hands”
One’s potential can far exceed one’s reach—once action is taken to till vision. Fine poem.
Potent stuff! Awesome photo (all of the hawke photos are fantastic) – he/she looks suitable superior that Hawk -and so he/she is.

piety, and self-congratulatory. amazing how selfishness can be masked. a true one, my friend.
