a chalice of faith…

River Urke and I have entered into a duel poetry challenge and this is the resulting poem.  Duel Poetry:  a prearranged poetry writing challenge  between two people to evolve a new poem where each writer must respond to the other writer’s lines  (4 -5 ) until both parties agree that the poem is complete.

  1. Thank you Cindy! I will have to tell my mother, she’s always wished she could write.
Charlie- this one rocks- powerful voices emerged showing the reality no one wants to see or talk about. I think we did good.

  2. Very lovely!! Really liked the lines ‘For the holy grail of greed’ and ‘filled with the faith / of others’

Very strong message once again and really cool concept. I must try this multiple author style of writing sometime.

  3. The “holy grail of greed” – a friend and I were talking about that just this afternoon, and I love
    “…the self-crowned nobility
    quench their thirst
    from a chalice
    filled with the faith
    of others”

    Sadly true.

  4. “self crowned nobility
    quench their thirst
    from a chalice
filled with the faith of other”
very striking, your words engage the mind. Ensuring something to mull over.
Beautiful topic, one most prefer to skirt, or completely ignore. I love the bluntness, with which it was approached.
