i do not want to ponder the words
nor google terms so vague
that only a scholar could disentangle the phrase
no
i want to feel the words
reverberating in my skull
a resounding tribute
to
vengeance
death
love
sex
of all types
birth
rebirth
pain
tears
war
and forlorn souls
or
all of the above
… you long to “live” the poetry that you are reading. This is, I dare say the eternal struggle between sense and sensibility within passionate individuals. I’ve been struggling with it my entire life. But you know what, Charles? The (very) good news is: you may not be coming across poetry of the kind you described too often… but we, the ones visiting your blog, do! So please keep enchanting us.
Thanks.

Those first three lines resonate true, and I’m sure many will agree with the notion. Nice work.

Yes, reverberating in my skull. That’s a perfect way to describe it.
